Ladies Charity Skeet Classic
We’re covering the Ladies Charity Skeet Classic, helping the kids at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Its ladies only with shotguns for the annual Ladies Charity Skeet Classic, where the shooters are aiming to beat childhood disease by raising cash for kids. Two worlds come together on the skeet fields at the Memphis Sport Shooting Association. One is the world of the shooting sports and that is all about fun and competition. But the second, the one you don’t see at first, is the business of saving lives.
This annual event has raised a half-million dollars over the years to support the famous St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, just a few miles away in Memphis. It is a vital effort that adds more meaning to a weekend of competition.
The ladies competing have come from as far as Florida and are ranked shooters, from Master Class and Double A shooters, to E Class, new shooters, and they’re all here to enjoy the weekend for a good cause.
But no matter their experience or shooting ability, all these women come sharing a common goal. They aim to help find a cure for childhood diseases.
