2019 USPSA Multi-Gun

2019 USPSA Multi-Gun

It’s the USPSA Multi-gun Nationals, where the open division shooters are taking speed to the next level with pistol, shotgun and rifle, for a chance at the national title. Plus a World War Two gun that officially wasn’t a gun at all, but it’s now one of History’s Guns. Then NRA Members see what’s new in Indianapolis at the 2019 Annual Meeting. And Colt Pro-Shooter Mark Redl has a pro-tip to help improve your accuracy at longer distances.

USPSA Multi-Gun

38-06-1-300The sport of Multi-Gun is a true test of the competitor and the equipment. In Multi-Gun there are three guns to deal with, pistol, rifle and shotgun, so competitors must be proficient with all three. And like any of the practical shooting sports, the best combination of speed and accuracy will prevail.

38-06-2Multi-Gun is the only USPSA format that uses time-plus scoring. So your score is your time and targets must be neutralized to avoid penalties in the form of added time. On paper targets for rifle and pistol, two hits anywhere, or one hit in the A zone, neutralizes the target. Clays must break, and steel must fall or flash to be neutralized and scored as a hit.

The top national competitors shoot it out to answer the question for 2019 – who is the best with pistol, rifle, and shotgun?

History's Guns - The High Standard

38-06-4It was the gun to get a better gun, but officially it wasn’t a gun at all. Officially, it was the FP-45 Flare Projector, But the flares were .45 ACP rounds packed in the grip. Later the FP-45 would get the nick-name Liberator and is now one of History’s Guns.
