Shooting USA - IDPA World Championships
The International Defensive Pistol Association holds their World Championships and it’s truly an international gathering of competitors at the CMP Talladega Park ranges. They’ve come from around the world to shoot scenarios designed to simulate real world situations when drawing from concealment is the way to stop the threats. Plus, the Heckler & Koch MP5 is still in service around the world, but is none-the-less a History’s Guns Icon and a Hollywood favorite choice for both sides of the law.
IDPA World Championship
Many shooting sports hold World Championships with few foreign competitors actually attending. But the International Defensive Pistol Association really is International, with registered members in 72 countries. And when IDPA stages its World Championships, shooters from two-dozen nations show up to compete on the CMP Ranges in Talladega, Alabama. It’s the tale of two shooting matches at the IDPA World Championship.
Each Competitor at the IDPA World Championships shoots within the division defined by their choice of gun. And each division will name a World Champion. But then there’s the overall match score in speed and accuracy. We’re counting them down to the finish for both men and women.

History's Guns - The MP5
The MP5 was developed by a team of engineers working in the German firm Heckler and Koch. It would become one of the most widely used submachine guns in the world after one major event. The MP5, that’s now one of History’s Guns.
